Microtonal Scale Extractor. This page folds the take's loudest analysed partials into a single period and picks a well-spaced microtonal scale — every degree is a real partial transposed by just-intonation steps, never an invented equal-tempered pitch. Tune the controls below, then audition each note (keys 1–9 and 0; keys past the last degree warp up into the octave and the tones above) either as a synth tone or as the recording itself band-passed to that pitch. The page also reports the nearest traditional scale and the nearest Western chord to the cymbal's spectrum, and exports a Scala tuning.

The cymbal's partials collapsed onto a 12-tone chroma and matched to common chords — a rough tonal colour of the spectrum, not a claim the cymbal is tuned.

Matched by interval shape (period-normalised), best rotation. Cents for living oral traditions are scholarly approximations — read these as families, not facts.
